The boys soccer team lost its home opener 6-2 against Garden City on Aug. 29.
Garden City had a 2-0 lead at the half.
The Buffalos put in three goals in the second half to take a resounding 5-0 lead.
Senior Gustavo Reyes had the first goal for the Indians after finding a loose ball in the box making the score 5-1.
“I was excited when we scored,” senior Shane Sulzman said. “We didn’t get shut out and it showed that we never gave up.”
Garden then scored again for a 6-1 lead.
Junior Kellen Griffin then had the final goal of the game on a header off of a cross from Reyes to finish the scoring 6-2.
“We played well overall, but had too many mental mistakes,” Sulzman said.
The next game for the team is Thursday, Sept. 1.
