Girls soccer defeats Great Bend

Earlier in the season the girls soccer team lost to Great Bend, 1-0, but on April 25 the girls avenged that loss with a 2-1 victory.

Hays took the lead in the 27th minute when junior Shannon Shubert scored after the Great Bend goalie dropped the ball.

Great Bend tied the game at 1-1 with a goal in the 66th minute.

Sophomore April Johnson scored the game winner in the 76th minute.

The next game for the soccer team is against TMP on April 28.
