Class of 1966 scholarship opportunities available to students

Because of the Hays High Indians website being down due to the ransomware attack, some of the available scholarship opportunities have been difficult for students to find.

The Hays High Class of 1966 award is a scholarship that is worth a total of $500. The scholarship is available for a singular freshman, sophomore, junior and senior who attends Hays High.

Requirements for the scholarship include being a current freshman, sophomore, junior or senior at Hays High School, be involved in at least one community service activity, have a current GPA of 2.8 or above and plan to pursue a two- or four-year degree or enroll in a technical school following graduation.

Students must include a copy of their high school transcript and one letter of reference from a teacher or outside source, such as a minister or service group leader. The due date for the Class of 1966 scholarships is Friday, April 8.
