Student Council plans Indian Call spirit days
With Indian Call fast approaching, the Hays High school Student Council decided upon this year’s dress-up days.
Monday through Thursday, poster-making will be held in the library.
Monday, Feb. 14 is Pajama Day. Since Monday is Valentine’s Day, there will be a heart scavenger hunt.
“Pajama Day is the comfiest dress up day,” freshman Jaynie Brooks said. “That’s why it’s my favorite.”
Tuesday, Feb. 5 is Soccer Moms vs. BBQ Dads Day, along with a Canvas quiz competition if Canvas is available.
“Well, I drive a real soccer mom van named Olga, and when I need to, I can look like an honest for real father,” sophomore Calvin Moore said. “That’s why it’s going to be my favorite dress-up day.”
Wednesday, Feb. 16 is Favorite Teacher Day. Wednesday will be an Early Release day, with students leaving at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 17 is Adam Sandler Day. A candidate video will be shown during PRIDE Time, and voting will occur.
Friday, Feb. 18 is Indian Pride Day. A hype assembly will be held during PRIDE Time, and the posters created will be judged. Royalty will be crowned at halftime of the boys basketball game. A lock-in will be held after the game.
