Choirs to end school year with their spring concert

On Thursday, May 20 at 7:30 at the First United Methodist Church in Hays, Hays High’s Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will have a concert.

Concert Choir will be performing “Hold Fast To Dreams,” “Sing To Me,” “Seven Last Words,” “Libertango,” “Higher and Higher,” “Every Time I Feel Your Spirit” and “Glory,” a song they will sing with the Chamber Singers.

“I like that we sing fun or good songs and that it’s not a class that you have to worry about,” sophomore Kaley Rajewski said. “I always have fun and love singing with the choir.”

Sophomore Remy Stull agreed with Rajewski.

“I love to sing,” Stull said. “The relationships I have built with the people is become like a little family.”

Chamber Singers will be performing “Piel Canela,” “Duerme Negrito” and “Entre el Espanto y la Ternura.”

“I liked the laid-back mood,” junior Myles Hilton said. “In the first minutes of class we have free time, but once we get to work, we work hard. The laid-back mood is my favorite part of class, though.”
