Book club meets after school on Sept. 10 to get members signed up

Book club will have meetings every two weeks on a Tuesday.
There are several clubs for students to be a part of this year, but one of the new clubs is Book Club. Book Club’s first meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m in Room 110.
The sponsor of the club is English teacher Kathy Wagoner. The president is senior Aracely Hutchison, vice president is senior Addison Speier and secretary is senior Allison Hillebrand.
“During our first meeting, we are going to sit down and get everybody set up with an app we plan to use,” Hillebrand said. “The app is an online e–reader with free books so that you don’t have to check out a ton of books, and everybody can read the book on their own time.”
Hillebrand said that they also plan to make a list of books the members want to read throughout the year.
Book Club meetings will be every two weeks on a Tuesday after school. So, the next meeting will be on Sept. 23.
“We decided to create Book Club because our president, Aracely, wanted to be more involve this year, and I’m just along for the ride,” Speier said. “We both love reading a lot, and I think would be great to get more students into reading in whatever ways we can.”
