Science Olympiad competed in Wichita on April 5 and April 6.

The team went to Wichita State University to compete in the state Science Olympiad competition. The results of the competition are as follows.

Junior Natalie Taylor and sophomore Marrissa Raynesford placed third in Forensics.

Senior Bryce Thornton and sophomore Callie Raacke placed sixth in Mission Possible.

Senior Savannah Schneider, junior Natalie Taylor and sophomore Ginny Ke placed ninth in Protein Modeling.

Juniors Lucas Pfannenstiel and Natalie Taylor placed 10th in Chemistry Lab.

Before the competition, the team went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. At the hotel, they swam and played games as a way to de-stress.

“In my four years of Science Olympiad, I felt like regional competition was easier this year than previous years,” Raacke said. “So, some events at state were very hard.”
