Science Olympiad will go to state competition at Wichita State University after taking first place at the regional competition on Friday, Feb. 15.

The results for the regional competition are as follows.

Senior Johnny Fuller and junior Maddie Lohmeyer placed second in Anatomy.

Sophomores Callie Raacke and Sophia Garrison placed third in Astronomy.

Seniors Johnny Fuller, Josh Norris and junior Lucas Pfannenstiel placed first in Code Busters.

Junior Emily Huff and senior Savannah Schneider placed first in Designer Genes.

Sophomores Callie Raacke, Marrissa Raynesford and junior Levi Hickert placed first in Experimental Design.

Seinor Cori Isbell and sophomore Marrissa Raynesford placed second in Fermi Questions.

Sophomores Callie Raacke and Levi Weilert placed third in Fossils.

“It has been ten years since Hays High beat Goodland and placed first, so I was very excited when that happened,” sophomore Callie Raacke said. “I am incredibly proud of my team.”
