Junior Peyton Thorell collects money from the crowd between the first and second quarters.

Between the first and second quarters at the basketball games on Jan. 9, DECA hosted a Miracle Minute to raise money for the Ronald McDonald houses.

DECA students Isabelle Braun, Kallie Leiker and Brianna Forinash have been working with instructor Shaina Prough and McDonald’s owner, Gail Kuehl.

The three girls are the heads of the project and have raised money for the charity in the past.

The total raised was $242.11.

Forinash said there will be another Miracle Minute at the Bob Kuhn wrestling tournament on Jan. 19.

“We are hoping that we do just as well because it is important to us and our project is coming to an end,” Braun said. “We want to make as big of an impact as we can.”
